Quick Overview

The Rynox Optimus Saddlebags 75L WP are built for long-distance touring where carrying capacity matters. 75 litres of combined storage, detachable roll-top dry bags, rain covers and a flat-profile, pillion-friendly mount make them a ready-to-go setup for motorcycles with non-upswept silencers, like cruisers.

Rynox Optimus Saddlebags 75L WP

The Rynox Optimus Saddlebags 75L WP are made for riders who pack for the long way out. With 75 litres of combined storage, internal dry bags and rain covers, they follow Rynox's 'Pack. Strap. Go.' idea on a much larger scale.

The shape is centred around motorcycles with non-upswept silencers, such as cruisers, and the flat-profile mounting straps are designed to keep bulky hardware off the pillion seat.

They sit alongside the rest of the Rynox range at Store4Riders.

Packing for a Long Tour

Seventy-five litres is a lot of space, and it helps to plan how you will use it. Keeping heavy items low and close to the motorcycle's centre, and small daily items in the quick-access pockets, makes stops quicker and the ride steadier. The guide to what to carry on a long motorcycle tour covers what tends to earn its place in the bags.

Q3: Which motorcycles are the Optimus 75L Saddlebags designed for?

Wash & Care

Step 1 - Prep

  • Empty the bags and remove the dry bags, rain covers, base fibre sheets and mounting straps
  • Undo all buckles, open all zips, and brush or shake off loose grit before any wiping

Step 2 - Everyday Cleaning

  • Wipe the outer fabric, base and trims with a damp (not wet) microfibre cloth, using a soft brush for stubborn dirt
  • For grime, add a little mild, pH-neutral detergent to the cloth, not to the bags, and keep detergent off the reflective prints

Step 3 - Deeper Clean, Only If Needed

  • For stubborn marks, work the spot by hand with a damp cloth and a little mild, pH-neutral detergent, rather than submerging the bags
  • Do not machine wash or wring

Step 4 - Zips, Buckles and Base

  • Rinse grit out of the zips and buckles with plain water and let them dry
  • Keep solvents, fuels, oils and thinners off the rubberised base and coated trims

Step 5 - Dry

  • Air-dry fully in a cool, ventilated, shaded place away from direct sunlight and heat, with the bags open
  • Do not tumble dry, iron, bleach or dry clean, and make sure the bags are completely dry inside and out before storing

Step 6 - Dry Bags, Rain Covers and Storage

  • After a ride, rinse the dry bags and rain covers with plain water and dry them completely, then put the rain covers back in their pockets
  • For longer storage, keep the dry bags and rain covers loose and unfolded, refit the base fibre sheets, and store the bags clean, dry and uncompressed in a cool, ventilated, moisture-free place
