What is an Auxetic design?

When you take a fall, traditional materials compress and absorb energy in one spot. But auxetic materials react differently they distribute the impact across a larger surface. That means your chest protectors don’t just absorb the hit; they manage it intelligently. You stay better protected, with no extra stiffness or weight.

Equipped with Rynox proprietary FAST-R (Frictionless Advanced Slide Technology by Rynox), the Apex Evo Jacket features fixed shoulder sliders designed for crash dynamics. These sliders offer maximum coverage and enable the motorcyclist to glide smoothly on contact with the ground, significantly reducing the risk of tumbling and potential injury.

Engineered with low-drag contours and strategic vents, the FAST-R Shoulder Sliders effectively manage both friction and heat during a slide. By allowing a controlled slide across hard surfaces while dissipating heat.

The Apex Evo jacket is equipped with Rynox proprietary FAST-R Elbow Sliders (Frictionless Advanced Slide Technology by Rynox), engineered to reduce the risk of injury during high-speed slides. These sliders are designed to provide maximum coverage and allow the jacket to glide across the tarmac rather than catching on the surface. This helps minimize impact forces and reduce the potential for injury.

With a modular, aerodynamic profile that enhances stability. The FAST-R Elbow Sliders are mounted using heavy-duty Velcro for a secure, personalised fit. Each slider features a dual-surface finish: a high-gloss outer zone that absorbs abrasion and a matte inner zone to keep a low-profile. Directional arrows clearly indicate Left and Right, ensuring quick installation and precise positioning for protection and performance

Built to last, the original Invista Cordura fabric has proven performance in many of the world’s toughest environments. The Cordura fabric is highly durable and resistant to abrasions, tears and scuffs. 

Made from high-tenacity Nylon yarn, the Invista Cordura fabric is used for reinforcing the slide zones - elbows and shoulders. This reinforcement gives you crucial additional seconds of slide time, and augments the protection of elbows and shoulders in the Apex Evo Jacket.

DWR or “Durable Water Repellent,” is a specialised coating applied to the outside surface of the 600D polyester shell fabric of the Apex Evo Jacket. The DWR treatment makes the fabric repel oil, grease, dirt, and water. Fabrics treated with DWR typically tend to not get saturated with water as easily as fabrics without a DWR coat. Fabrics without a DWR coat typically tend to get saturated with water, become heavy and cling to your skin making you feel damp.

The DWR treatment also augments the abrasion resistance properties of the 600D polyester shell fabric, increasing the durability and lengthening the service life of the Apex Evo Jacket.

• The DWR treatment is not intended to keep you dry in sustained rainfall. For that, we highly recommend Rynox H2Go Pro 3 Rain Jacket or any other purpose-built motorcycle rain jacket.
• The DWR treatment may wear off over a period of time. This will not reduce the inherent abrasion resistance of the 600D polyester shell.
