Modular helmets are aimed at tourers who love to do day long rides. Modular helmets are also called as Flip up helmet due to the nature of front portion of the helmet flipping over the top. Modular helmets are a hybrid of open face and full face helmets. They have a movable chin bar that at the push of a button, slides up over the top of the helmet. These motorcycle helmet usually offer a perfect balance between Open face and full face helmets but are usually heavier due to the latches.
