SMK GTJ Tourer Open Face Matt Helmet
The SMK GTJ Tourer Matt is an open face helmet with a matt finish, touring comfort with a flat finish. It is certified to ISI, DOT and ECE 22.06.
Sizes S to XXL on two shell sizes, with a one year manufacturer warranty.
Matt suits a bike that has seen some miles. The GTJ Tourer in a flat finish keeps glare low on long, bright days and hides the dust that comes with them.
It is the touring member of SMK's GTJ open face series. See the gloss Tourer if you would like the same helmet with a shine. The full line is in our SMK GTJ helmets.
On the Tourer, angular panels over the crown give way to a grid of tiny dots that spreads across the side, with bold SMK lettering running up the shell.
In use
The padded chin strap, washable liner and speaker pockets turn a day in the saddle into something more comfortable, and a headset keeps navigation clear.
If you plan trips with a pillion, a luggage rack and a route, a helmet that stays comfortable from the first hour to the last one is worth more than any graphic.

Size and weight
Pick your size from the chart above after measuring your head one inch above the eyebrows. The M shell, used for S and M, weighs around 1,450 g. The L shell, used for L to XXL, weighs around 1,550 g. Both figures are approximate, within 50 g. Our helmet fitting guide shows what a good fit feels like.
Safety marks
ISI, DOT and ECE 22.06 certified. Like every open face helmet, it leaves your face exposed, so keep it for city riding and easy rides rather than long, fast highway stretches.
Maintenance
Clean the matt shell with mild soap and a soft damp cloth, and skip spray polishes. Hand wash the liner and dry it in shade. Our helmet maintenance guide explains the rest.
Warranty
The helmet comes with a one year manufacturer warranty.

A1: The speaker pockets are made for that. Choose a headset with slim speakers for the best fit.
Q2: Is it comfortable on long rides?
A2: The wide visor, the sun visor, the ventilation and the padded strap are all aimed at longer days in the saddle. Take breaks, as you would on any ride.
Q3: Is the liner removable?

Q4: What if the visor gets scratched?
A4: The visor has a scratch resistant surface, and a replacement is available in clear, smoke or mirrored finishes.
Q5: How heavy is it?
A5: About 1,450 g on the M shell and about 1,550 g on the L shell, give or take 50 g.
