Details

The SMK Typhoon Unicolour Gloss Helmet is the plain, single-colour Typhoon: no graphics, just the compact Typhoon shell in a glossy finish. It is the SMK Typhoon gloss black helmet that many riders look for, and it goes with any bike and any jacket.

A gloss black SMK Typhoon helmet is the safe choice if you change bikes or gear often. With no graphic on it, the shell simply looks clean.

Under the finish it is the standard Typhoon package: ECE 22.06, DOT and ISI certification, a Pinlock ready visor and a drop-down sun visor for changing light. You can order the SMK Typhoon Unicolour Gloss Helmet online from Store4Riders, with free shipping across India and EMI available.

SMK Typhoon Unicolour Gloss Helmet Features

Protection

An EIRT shell, which stands for energy impact resistant thermoplastic, forms the outer layer, and SMK moulds it in two shell sizes to avoid an oversized profile. A reinforced quick-release strap with a padded chin section makes the helmet easy to take on and off, and it weighs around 1600 g. The EPS liner uses multiple densities, and ECE 22.06, DOT and ISI approvals are all in place.

Ventilation and comfort

Chin air vents and top air vents feed fresh air in, and channelled exhausts push hot air out through the back. SMK includes a breath deflector and a wind protector, and the shell has a rear spoiler to calm things down at higher speeds. Cheek pads and liner both come out for cleaning. The fabric is breathable, hypoallergenic and moisture-controlled.

Vision and extras

A quick-release visor mechanism lets you swap the visor in seconds, and the visor itself resists scratches and UV. Pinlock-ready visor for fog-free riding, plus comms-ready speaker pockets if you add a Bluetooth headset. A retractable inner sun visor gives you a dual visor setup in a single helmet.

SMK Typhoon Unicolour Gloss Helmet FAQs

Q1: What is the difference between the SMK Typhoon Unicolour Gloss Helmet and the SMK Typhoon Unicolour Matt Helmet?

A1: Only the finish. The SMK Typhoon Unicolour Gloss Helmet has a shiny surface, while the SMK Typhoon Unicolour Matt Helmet has a flat, low-sheen one. Shell, liner, vents, visor and certifications are the same.

Q2: Is the SMK Typhoon Unicolour Gloss Helmet ISI certified?

A2: Yes. It carries ISI certification for Indian roads, along with ECE 22.06 and DOT approval. That covers the standards most riders in India look for.

Q3: Is the {n} the plain gloss black Typhoon?

A3: Yes. It is the single-colour edition with no graphics, available as a gloss black SMK Typhoon helmet, and it uses the same shell, liner, vents and visor as every other Typhoon.

Q4: How should the SMK Typhoon Unicolour Gloss Helmet feel when it fits properly?

A4: Snug all round, with the cheek pads lightly touching your face and no pressure on your forehead. Check the size chart on this page and our guide to fitting a helmet before ordering.

Q5: How do I clean and look after the SMK Typhoon Unicolour Gloss Helmet?

A5: Use lukewarm water, a drop of mild soap and a soft cloth, and skip anything abrasive. A gloss finish looks best when it is wiped gently and dried properly. For the inner liner and visor, follow our helmet cleaning guide.
