A rambler does not rush. The GTJ Rambler in gloss is for easy rides with no fixed route: the long way home, the road to the next town, the ride that ends when the fuel light says so.
It is an open face helmet from SMK's GTJ series, with a glossy shell and graphics. The matt Rambler is the same helmet with a flat finish. The full line is in our SMK GTJ helmets.
The Rambler graphic uses straight, angled stripes. A band crosses the brow, long parallel stripes sweep back along the side, and short groups of slanted lines sit near the visor pivot and low on the shell.
Why riders pick it
The ventilation keeps air moving on slow, warm days, and the sun visor is there when the road turns west in the evening.
Rambling is about the pace, not the destination. A wide view ahead, air moving through the vents and a visor that lets in the scenery make that kind of ride more enjoyable.

Fit and weight
Sizes run from S to XXL. S and M sit on the M shell, about 1,450 g, and L, XL and XXL sit on the L shell, about 1,550 g, give or take 50 g. Measure your head one inch above your eyebrows and match it to the chart above. The helmet fitting guide explains how to test the fit once it is on.
Safety
Safety first: the helmet carries ISI, which Indian law requires on a two wheeler helmet, along with DOT and ECE 22.06. The marks are on the label inside. Remember that an open face helmet protects less of your face than a full face one, so choose it for the kind of riding it suits.
Looking after it
Gloss shows fine scratches more than matt, so use a soft microfibre cloth and mild soap, and dry the liner in shade after a hand wash. The helmet maintenance guide has the full routine.
Warranty
The helmet comes with a one year manufacturer warranty.
Frequently asked questions
Q1: Is it a half face helmet?
A1: It is an open face helmet. It covers your ears and the back of your head and has no chin bar, while a true half helmet covers only the top of the head.
Q2: Will I feel hot in it?
A2: The channeled intakes, top vents and hot air exhaust keep air moving, which helps in summer traffic.
Q3: Can I use the sun visor while riding?
A3: Yes. It is designed to work with a simple gesture, so you can change it as the light changes.
Q4: Is it comfortable on long rides?
A4: The wide visor, the sun visor, the ventilation and the padded strap are all aimed at longer days in the saddle. Take breaks, as you would on any ride.
Q5: What does it weigh?
A5: Around 1,450 g for sizes S and M and around 1,550 g for L, XL and XXL, within 50 g.
