SMK Typhoon Shadow Stealth Gloss Helmet technical features

Protection

Retention is a quick-release buckle on a reinforced, padded strap, and the whole helmet comes in at roughly 1600 g. The EPS liner uses multiple densities, and ECE 22.06, DOT and ISI approvals are all in place. An EIRT shell, which stands for energy impact resistant thermoplastic, forms the outer layer, and SMK moulds it in two shell sizes to avoid an oversized profile.

Ventilation and comfort

The breath deflector keeps your breath away from the visor, the wind protector cuts the draught, and the rear spoiler helps at speed. A removable liner in hypoallergenic, moisture-controlled fabric keeps the inside fresh, and you can wash it when it needs it. Air comes in through the chin and top vents and leaves through channelled exhausts, which keeps the helmet from turning into a sauna in traffic.

Vision and extras

Fitting a Pinlock lens is possible because the visor is Pinlock ready, and the helmet is ready for a Bluetooth communicator too. A retractable inner sun visor gives you a dual visor setup in a single helmet. A quick-release visor mechanism lets you swap the visor in seconds, and the visor itself resists scratches and UV.
