SMK Nova solid Matt helmet
Looking for a matte black helmet that is properly certified and costs under Rs.5,000? The SMK Nova Solid Matt has a flat, glare-free finish in five colours, ECE 22.06, DOT and ISI approval, a quick-release visor with a Pinlock 30 anti-fog insert and a liner that comes out for washing. Ships free, EMI available.
Matte helmets look understated, and they hide the swirl marks and fine scratches that show up quickly on gloss paint. The SMK Nova Solid Matt gives you that look in a certified full-face helmet. If you want a full black setup that does not shine, start here.
Colours are Black, Nardo Grey Black, Titanium, White and Pink. Black and the two greys suit riders who want a quiet, all-dark helmet. White and Pink are for anyone who would rather stand out.

Caring for a matte finish
Matt paint needs different care from gloss. Skip wax, polish and shine sprays, because they leave patchy shiny spots. Wash with lukewarm water and mild soap, use a soft cloth, and pat dry. Our helmet maintenance guide explains how to look after the visor and inner liner as well.
Who it suits
Daily commuters, weekend riders and anyone building a blacked-out look on a naked bike, a cruiser or a commuter. The helmet is sized from S to XXL. Use the chart on this page, or follow the steps in our guide to choosing a properly fitting helmet before you order.

Frequently asked questions
Q1: Can I get the SMK Nova Solid Matt as a full black helmet?
A1: Yes. Choose Black in the colour option for a matt black shell with no graphics.
Q2: What is the difference between Nova Solid Matt and Nova Solid Gloss?
A2: Only the paint finish. Safety build, visor, liner and sizes are the same. The SMK Nova Solid Gloss helmet is the shiny version.
Q3: Will a Bluetooth headset fit inside?
A3: The padding has pockets for speakers, so most helmet communicators can be fitted. Choose a slim speaker kit and check it sits comfortably against your ears.
