Not everyone wants a mirror shine. The SMK Nova Prism Matt puts the Prism helmet in a flat, glare-free finish that looks calm and modern. It hides fine marks better than gloss and does not pick up fingerprints the way a chrome shell does.

Why riders pick a matt helmet
A matt shell gives a quieter look on naked bikes, cruisers and commuters, and it suits riders who dislike shiny paint. Light scratches and swirl marks are far less visible than on gloss, which helps if the helmet is hung on a bike or carried in a bag every day.
Caring for matt paint
Matt paint needs different care from gloss. Do not use wax, polish or shine sprays, because they leave patchy shiny spots. Wipe with a damp microfibre cloth and mild soap, rinse and let it dry in the shade. Oily marks come off with soapy water. More tips are in our helmet maintenance guide.
