Quick Overview

The Raida Ultra Hydration Backpack is a light 5L pack that carries a 2L bladder and the small things you want within reach on a ride, like gloves, snacks and your phone. A 3D micro mesh back panel, adjustable sternum straps and reflective accents keep it comfortable and visible. Available with or without a 2L bladder.

Raida Ultra Hydration Backpack

Long rides in Indian heat go badly when your water is in a bottle strapped to the bike. You stop, you unstrap, you drink, you strap it back, and half the time you skip it and ride thirsty. The Raida Ultra fixes that by putting a 2L bladder on your back with the drink tube parked near your shoulder.

It is a small, light pack on purpose. There is 5L of cargo space for the things you actually reach for on a ride: gloves, a thin rain layer, a few snacks and a phone in its own zipped pocket. Raida has kept the material light, so it sits on your back without feeling like a second backpack under your jacket.

Who it suits

The Ultra works best for commuters, weekend riders and short tours where you want water close and a few small items handy, without carrying a full backpack. If you ride mostly in the rain or in the hills, the Raida Dryporter Waterproof Hydration Bag is the better pick, since the Ultra is not sold as a waterproof pack.

The pack comes with or without a 2L bladder, so pick the option that suits you. If you already own a bladder, buy the pack alone. If you want a spare or an upgrade, the Raida Hydration Bladder 2 Ltr and the Raida Hydration Bladder with Insulation Cover both suit a 2L slot. You can see the full range on our hydration bags page.

FAQs

Q1: Does the Raida Ultra Hydration Backpack come with a bladder?

A1: It depends on the option you choose. The pack is sold with a 2L bladder or without one, so select the option you want on the product page. Spare bladders are on our hydration bags category.

Q2: How much can I carry apart from water?

A2: Expect room for gloves, a light rain layer, snacks, a power bank and your phone. It is a 5L pack, so it suits a few small items and not a change of clothes. Keep it light, since you are wearing it under a helmet and over a jacket for hours.

Q3: Is the Raida Ultra waterproof?

A3: It is not sold as waterproof. If you ride in heavy rain, keep your phone and documents in a dry pouch inside it, or go for the Dryporter instead. Our guide on how to stay dry while riding in the rain covers the basics.

Q4: Can I wear it over my riding jacket?

A4: Yes. The dual sternum straps and side compression are adjustable, so put your jacket on first and then set the straps. If your jacket has a back protector, tighten the compression straps so the pack does not shift around on top of it.

Q5: How do I keep the bladder clean?

A5: Rinse it with warm water and a little mild soap after a ride, brush the tube, and hang it open to dry before you store it. Do not leave water sitting in it between trips.
