The CR8EIX sits one step hotter than the CR7EIX in NGK's numbering, which is why it's the one fitted across smaller-capacity sport bikes like the Yamaha R15 and Honda CBR150R rather than the larger singles and twins the CR7EIX covers. A hotter heat range clears deposits more effectively in engines that spend more time at higher RPM, which describes exactly how these bikes tend to get ridden.
Same 0.6mm iridium tip and thermo-edge design as the rest of NGK's iridium range, built for a finer, more consistent spark than the stock copper plug most of these bikes ship with.
