LS2 Douglas Riding Pants
LS2 Douglas Riding Pants - An urban riding pant in water-resistant, windproof 3-layer softshell, with removable CE Level 2 knee protectors and thigh vents for city riding. CE certified Class A.
The LS2 Douglas is built for city riders who want a genuine riding pant without the bulk of a touring pant they'll never use to its full spec. Light, comfortable, and finished to look like a regular pair of trousers off the bike, not a race suit.
The outer shell is a 3-layer softshell with a windproof membrane, water-resistant and windproof rather than fully waterproof, built for weather protection on a daily commute rather than sustained rain. Stretch ribbed fabric at the waist and a stretch panel at the back ankle round out the fit.
Protection is removable CE SAFE TECH certified knee armour, EN1621-1:2012 Level 2, with the knee protector pocket adjustable across two positions to match your leg length. An optional CE SAFE TECH hip protector, EN1621-1:2012 Level 1, is available separately for riders who want more coverage. The pant is CE certified Class A (EN17092-4:2020).
Everyday details: large thigh vents for airflow, a YKK zip with a hidden snap button on the front flap, an elasticated waist and belt for fit, and two front cargo pockets with snap button closure for secure storage.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: Is the Douglas waterproof?
A1: No, it's water-resistant and windproof, built to handle light weather on a daily commute rather than sustained rain. For genuine wet-weather touring protection, the Travel pant is the better choice.
Q2: What protection is included, and what's optional?
A2: Knee armour ships with the pant. The hip protector is compatible but sold separately, so budget for it if you want that coverage too.
Q3: Can I adjust the knee protector position?
A3: Yes, the knee protector pocket has two adjustable positions, so you can match the armour to your actual knee position rather than a fixed spot.
Q4: Is this warm to wear in traffic?
A4: The large thigh vents are specifically there to manage that, this is built as a breathable city pant rather than an insulated one, it has no thermal liner.
Q5: How do I find my size?
A5: Use the size chart provided separately on this page, matching your height, waist and inseam in inches rather than a regular trouser size.
