Quick Overview

LS2 Travel Pants - An all-weather touring riding pant, waterproof to 8000mm with a removable thermal liner and included CE hip protector. CE certified Class AA, the higher of LS2's two pant certification levels.

The LS2 Travel is built for distance riding through changing weather, and it's the only pant in this range certified to CE Class AA rather than Class A, a genuinely higher abrasion and impact standard than the Douglas or Como Air.

The shell combines 600D Oxford fabric, ripstop fabric and stretch fabric, backed by a fixed water-resistant and breathable membrane rated to 8000mm H2O with a breathability rating of 5000g/m2/24hrs. A removable thermal liner handles cold mornings and winter riding, and comes out entirely once the weather warms up.

Protection is removable CE SAFE TECH certified knee armour, EN1621-1:2012 Level 2, adjustable across three protector positions, with a CE SAFE TECH hip protector, EN1621-1:2012 Level 1, included rather than sold separately, unlike the Douglas and Como Air. The pant is CE certified Class AA (EN17092-3:2020).

Touring-specific details: elastic stretch fabric at the crotch, knees and back waist for flexibility, two large waterproof side pockets, a ventilation zipper with snap buttons to fasten the vent on each leg, an anti-slip seat patch, a two-way zipper, an exhaust port, reflective strips, adjustment straps for fit, and a YKK zipper built specifically to attach to a compatible riding jacket.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: What does CE Class AA actually mean compared to Class A?

A1: It's a higher abrasion and impact standard, generally aimed at higher-speed and touring use. The Douglas and Como Air are both Class A, the Travel is the one built to the higher standard.

Q2: Can this handle a full day of riding in the rain?

A2: Yes, the 8000mm waterproof rating with a fixed membrane is built for sustained rain, well ahead of what the Douglas's water-resistant softshell is designed for.

Q3: Does the hip protector come included, or is it extra?

A3: It's included with this pant. On the Douglas and Como Air, the equivalent hip protector is sold separately.

Q4: Does this connect to a riding jacket?

A4: Yes, it has a YKK zipper built specifically for attaching to a compatible LS2 riding jacket, useful for a sealed connection at the waist on longer rides.

Q5: How do I find my size?

A5: Use the size chart provided separately on this page. This pant comes in two leg lengths, Short and Long, so check which one matches your inseam before ordering, not just your waist size.
