SMK Typhoon Thorn Matt Helmet Features
 | Protection SMK builds the Typhoon around an EIRT shell, short for energy impact resistant thermoplastic. Two shell sizes keep smaller and larger heads from wearing a bulky helmet. Multi-density EPS sits under the shell. The helmet is certified to ECE 22.06, the current European standard, as well as DOT and ISI for India. The chin strap is padded and reinforced, with a quick-release buckle. Weight is about 1600 g. Ventilation and comfort Fresh air enters at the chin and crown vents, and channelled exhausts take the heat out the back. Cheek pads and liner both come out for cleaning. The fabric is breathable, hypoallergenic and moisture-controlled. The breath deflector keeps your breath away from the visor, the wind protector cuts the draught, and the rear spoiler helps at speed. Vision and extras A quick-release visor mechanism lets you swap the visor in seconds, and the visor itself resists scratches and UV. Dual visor system: the clear outer visor plus a drop-down inner sun visor for sunny stretches.
