The new Royal Enfield bike is to be based on the J1D platform and is likely to replace the RE Thunderbird 350. SPY shots were all over the internet as it was spied on a recent TV commercial shoot. Now, new images have been leaked online which are screenshots from an official online configurator.

The leaked images reveal that new Royal Enfield bike will be called as Meteor 350 Fireball. Also, one of the screenshots revealed the price of the motorcycle. Going by the screenshots, the motorcycle is likely to be priced at ₹ 1.68 lakh (ex-showroom).

The new bike will sport a round headlamp cluster with LED DRLs, a twin-pod instrument panel, circular tail light and a stepped seat. Moreover, the company could offer the new motorcycle in bright shades similar to the one seen on the Thunderbird X. The images alo hinted of Royal Enfield offering a tinted flyscreen worth 1,750rs as an optional accessory.

At its center it will be powered a by a 349 cc single-cylinder engine sourced from the Classic 350. But the one on the Meteor 350 will be a fuel-injection upgraded to BS6 emission norms. The engine will be tuned to produce 19.8 bhp and 28 Nm torque, which will be paired with a 5-speed gearbox.

As for the suspension, the company could use telescopic front forks and dual shock absorbers at the rear. In terms of braking, it will have disc brakes at both the ends, assisted by dual-channel ABS as standard. It is likely to compete against the likes of the Benelli Imperiale 400 and the Jawa Forty-Two in the segment.
