New spy photographs have revealed that BMW Motorrad is working on an all new BMW S1000R. The new model will surely have a complete makeover.

Looking at the design, the new front ditches the win-pod headlight setup for an F 900 R-style LED unit. The front also gets a bigger visor than the previous version. The radiator shroud, engine cowl fuel tank and the rear panel, too have a newer design language. The exhaust shares a similar design with its bigger brother, the S1000RR.

New BMW S1000R Spotted

Like its predecessor, the new version will share its engine with the S1000RR, with a different state of tuning. For reference the 999cc, inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine on the S1000RR, generates 200.8 bhp of power and 113 nm of torque.

The new S1000R will most likely go against the Ducati Streetfighter V4, KTM 1290 Super Duke R, Yamaha MT-10 and will post probably arrive early next year.
