Bajaj Auto just launched the Dominar 250 in India at a competitive price tag of Rs 1.60 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It comes in two color options, Canyon Red and Vine Black.
At its centre is a BS6-compliant, 248.77cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, twinspark, 4-stroke, 4-valve, DOHC, FI engine that delivers 27PS and 23.5Nm of peak torque. The claimed top speed of the 2020 Dominar 250 is 132 kmph, while it can make 0-100 kmph in 10.5 seconds.
Like its bigger brother, it sits on a beam-type perimeter frame. As for the suspension it comes with a telescopic 37mm USD front forks with 135mm travel and a multi-step adjustable mono-shock at the rear having 110mm wheel stroke. There are 17-inch tubeless tyres. The front has a 300mm disc, while the rear gets a 230mm disc. Also available in the new Bajaj Dominar 250 is dual-channel ABS.
It comes with Full LED headlamp with AHO (automatic headlamp on) technology, spacecraft-inspired tank pad decals and twin-barrel exhaust. There are bungee straps under the seat to help secure gear during long-distance touring. The redesigned secondary display gives details pertaining to time and trip information.
